Asbos

in our critical studies leson we were talkinbg about asbos are becoming a sing of coolness in ganges and asprt of badge of hounor in some gangs... this links to away of thinking thyat evey thinking which we were talkiking about in our lecture onn identatie which baszically said that wat hight class and the goverment think is good for you is and setsas rules regulations seems to get asborded in to popular culture.....

i like the idea of asbos onkly of rthe idea that wen i thinkof them it makes me think of old laddys with the shoppying trollys been givin them for unruley behavour and waving ther sticks around

The stereotypical student

Over the last couple of months when describing my life as a student to people at home the phrase "I'm Not a normal student" Kept popping up this i don't understand why people seem to think that all students are drunken louts who sleep all day and eat baked beans and live slum holes..

this made me think i am a little bit eccentric or "quirky" as my flat mate puts it and i don't believe in hair straighteners and being drunk to the point of not knowing what you're doing or really like gettting drunk that much. i enjoying going for a drink and sitting in a pub bar thing and all the rest but what i don't understand is the stereotypical view of students as most students think the same as me even if i am a bit more extreme than most people.

universal Slence,

Silence a meal times is a oddity in my house it is generally noisy (I think anyway).

Well on the evening of the 5th of July we experienced one on those world stopping slow motion silences you see in films.
Over something quite trivial at the time radio 4 had been filling the gap from big Ben six o'clock chimes with bird chimes and it was the first night that big Ben was due back.
As we waited the few seconds that where left between the announcer reading the last news head line and the space where the chime should be. Gap grew and as we all waited and in anticipation of the chimes to come.

It seem to be that the whole world had come to a standstill the birds stopped chirping and we all waited for the noise waited for those bells to tole.

this weckend on our weeckley visit we went on an expolre to find asda.... as you porbally guesss form the tille we fialed after looking up where asda is on the map annd then finding the buses that go past there we decide to go for so offf we went on the 18 bus to asda havig never reallery been anty where neasr it before it was quite gunn if it wasnt so wet after a while and being stoped at sainsbureys the bus drive actulley asked us if we new where we were going so.. after explaing we were after asda and him having no idae
"where looking for asda"
"which one?"
"Any one we dont mind really, any supermarket which isnt morisons really for a change"
"Sainsburys"

at which point we had to get of the buss in a shame faced ay to got sainsburys which aprently we thought would be more expeniseve

but as i bourght nearley all sainsburey own barages my shoping was a m,as of white and orage it all in seemed ok

Manchester

this weeckend or actually last weckend me and nat decided to go visit the withworth gallerie in manchester whilst there decided to hookl up with my moz!!!! its reall odd inroducing old friends to new and so on because they only know you you know ther'll get on really well with each other and be friends buthtey have to get to know each i found this very stange....

any way the galleries as it was tiping it down we dieced to duck in to the city galleriey which is one of those deciving building that seem small form the out side but is hudge on the inside they ahd all sort.. we started i n the room with jyust the oddest stufff looked lik it was colected form a old garedge the we realise that they had an exibition oin miffiy because her 50 bday this was really cool and there was the funn of the giant miffi i didnt realies that mifi is actually duch...

there where as normal the mass rooms of pictures of random things the gallerie have collect theses seem t oapear in mass in every gallerie and seem allways to such the life out of you. in the same way all musesm do after awhile.

there where also a section on buttons which was quiet coo lthouhgt i never really understood the whole obsetion with buttons that many girls seem to have i just like the ones shaped like cows..

then there was the lowri section this was not to huge as most of the work i asume would be int he lowery musem itself.. the lawery reminds me of my nan's and antys house because thet have pictures on the wal i think this is pobabley a nice conertation.
after egguarst ing the kids section in the gallerie where they had a bridget rilley one of my favoret artists i think beacasue the way she painstakingley dose every thing so clean so,mthing i never manages to acheve and the way it makes your eyes go funny which most people dnt like

any hoo we than went to the whitworth the reasnon we came to manchest this was olk but we couldnt find any william moris stuff on dissplay baecaues lat time i visited there wasa huge wall so i decised having come so far we should ask and they said they had loads of moris stuff its all just hidden away (well bnot there word exactley) but yuo have to make an opoint ment to see it what is the point of that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! may i ask you have all this resorces but not on show eghh youi dnt even have to put orgianls out it hink it is very silly
but we entained our selves with the fabric samples
http://www.whitworth.man.ac.uk/

but slithley pissed off we were walikg alomng and decided to vivist the mancester musem this i musst add from previouse experiace is great and can keep you efteratianed for hours its full of stuffed animals af all sorts ... it was quite funny to whach nats reaction to this. i like the way that they are on show it kinda good they still are rathter than being hidden away because it is no longer seen as socialy exapetabel to stuff an imals on show but we can still expericance this and the anmial may not have died humainley but its lasting a long time.....
http://www.museum.man.ac.uk/

have been befo and entertain our selves for ours taking random photos next o animals we seyt anotu looking for the penguins..... there where none no matter where we looked but the poper bear weas styill there one of my favortes it is quite good to see what scale they where/are in real life.

tgere wer also the live animals such as the igarner very funny looking creater and the little lizards which were proceding to mate and mad my day wen the small child asked its mother why they were climbing on each other.... it was obne of those seral moments that only ever seems to happen in film but the parent answered very well....
